Plasma
Container/Tube: 1 Full light green-top (lithium heparin) or dark green MICROTAINER
Specimen: 0.2 mL of plasma
Transport Temperature: Ambient
Collection Instructions: Protect specimen from light.
Note:
1. Indicate plasma.
2. Label specimen appropriately (plasma).
Serum
Container/Tube: 1 Full plain, red-top or gold (serum gel) MICROTAINER
Specimen: 0.2 mL of serum
Transport Temperature: Ambient

Reference Values
0-1 day: <5.1 mg/dL
1-2 days: <7.2 mg/dL
3-5 days: <10.3 mg/dL
