Test Code OPIA Opiates Screen, Urine
Methodology
Includes morphine and morphine glucuronide (major metabolites of heroin). Codeine is also detected. Consequently, the urine from codeine users will contain small amounts of morphine, morphine glucuronides and n-normorphine.
Note: This test should not be used to routinely screen for the presence of oxycodone (Oxycontin). See #OXYC “Oxycodone Screen, Urine” test.
Used to screen for drug overdose.

20 mL from a random urine collection. No preservative.
