Specimen Requirements

Specimen must arrive in laboratory within 10 minutes of draw.

Container/Tube: Dark green-top (sodium heparin) tube

Specimen: Full tube

Transport Temperature: Refrigerate

Collection Instructions: Tube must be kept on ice and delivered to laboratory as soon as  possible.

Note: 1. Laboratory is responsible for drawing specimen.

2. An “ABG/Hemoximetry” sheet must be submitted with the specimen.
