Submit only 1 of the following specimens:

 

Plasma

Container/Tube: Light green-top (lithium heparin) tube

Specimen: 1 mL of lithium heparin plasma

Transport Temperature: Ambient

Collection Instructions:

Note: 1. Indicate plasma.
2. Label specimen appropriately (plasma).

 

Serum

Container/Tube: Plain, red-top tube or gold serum gel tube

Specimen: 1 mL of serum

Transport Temperature: Ambient

CREATININE (Creatinine method is standardized to IDMS).

 

Males

0-1 week: 0.7-1.2 mg/dL

1 week-1 month: 0.3-0.8 mg/dL

1 month-1 year: 0.2-0.5 mg/dL

1-3 years: 0.2-0.8 mg/dL

4-13 years: 0.5-1.1 mg/dL

>13 years: 0.70-1.30 mg/dL

 

Females

0-1 week: 0.7-1.2 mg/dL

1 week-1 month: 0.3-0.8 mg/dL

1 month-1 year: 0.2-0.5 mg/dL

1-3 years: 0.2-0.8 mg/dL

4-13 years: 0.5-1.1 mg/dL

>13 years: 0.55-1.10 mg/dL
